French Holiday House

Lieurac is situated in the Midi-Pyrénées in the department of Ariége. You will find this simple French village on the D1, 5 km from Laroque d’Olmes and about 12 km from Foix. Carcassonne and Toulouse Airports are respectively an hour and 1 and 1/2 hours away. The gite is south facing and situated near the end of a quiet road on the edge of this very small French hill fort village with unspoiled views of the surrounding foothills of the Pyrénées. See the picture at the bottom. The garden (4000 sq m) is situated in front of the house and is fully planted with a variety of fruit and ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers and an organic vegetable garden.

Second floor with a large bedroom with windows facing south and north and its own en-suite douche and toilet.

Outhouse with space for chairs etc. and exclusive gite lawned garden with table, chairs, parasol, BBQ and washing line.

Garden: In total we have nearly an acre of garden, planted with fruit trees (cherries, apples, pears and figs and one olive tree) and many beautiful ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers. There is a quiet shady area set aside in the garden for your exclusive use.

Very nearby (150 meters) is a small river where one can swim and children paddle in the shallow stream. Bring water shoes as the river bed is stony in places.

From May to September we are host to many different birds, if you don't like swifts and nightingales, this is not the place for you!
